143 countries were listed in the Global Innovation Index report released in Sydney, Australia, yesterday Friday 18th July 2014, And Nigeria came out the 110th position with a score of 27.8, with a 0.23%.
Topping this list are Switzerland, United Kingdom and Sweden. The annual rankings is published by Cornell University, INSEAD and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
No African country made the first 39 spot in the ranking but Mauritius tops the list for African countries coming in at 40.
