Months ago, one Aminu Sadik Ogwuche, the man who
allegedly masterminded the April 14th Nyanya bombings that claimed over 74
lives, escaped to Sudan. However, he wassubsequently
arrested following an international red alert issued by Interpol.
Now, the Sudanese government is reportedly refusing to cooperate
with Nigerian officials in their effort to extradite Ogwuche, based on Vanguard reports.
The reports state that one of the reasons for Sudan’s refusal to
cooperate may be because of the country’s president, Omar
al-Bashir, who have no bilateral agreement with any country in the world
on extradition of criminals.
